Why did we choose the name Brand 316?
316 has biblical significance that is truly meaningful to us as an organization and is significant for all Christians. Our organization is biblical based in our training, mentoring and our daily decisions. 316 is a simple reminder of what Christ did for us and reaffirms that through Him all things are possible. The most well known verse in the bible is of course John 3:16, but after reviewing all "3:16's" you quickly find a common theme. Here are some that were most relevant to our mission and goals.
John 3:16 is one of the most well-known Bible verses in the New Testament. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 provides hope for all Christians - a strong hope in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a testament to the love God has for all of us and a love we should mimic to others.
2 Timothy 3:16 - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." The words written in the Bible are directly from God and should be used as a blueprint in living a life for Him. The Bible is our guide to successfully helping others in need and using our spiritual gifts to further the Kingdom of God. This includes teaching, training and living a life focused on Christ.
Colossians 3:16 - "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom." It is our responsibility as Christians to teach and warn others when they are going against God‘s will. That should always be done in a loving manner and the Bible provides tools to do just that. It also affirms that teaching of life lessons through Christ and the real world applications that the Bible can teach those who are seeking it.
1 John 3:16 - "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." Christ was crucified between two convicted criminals – while one mocked Him the other acknowledged His power and was forgiven. Love is mentioned throughout the Old Testament and New Testament and we should be willing to do anything and everything we can for our brothers and sisters in Christ. This includes forgiving and forgetting while providing any support possible to improve the lives of others in need.
1 Timothy 3:16 - "Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory." The path of Christ was perfect but not easy. No one on this earth is sin free and we all fall short of the glory of God.
2 Corinthians 3:16 reaffirms our belief that Jesus Christ died for our sins and we are forgiven. It states "But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." Our organization is focused on Christ in the way we treat others and conduct our daily operations. We are focused on those that are in the most need with the least amount of hope. We believe in a God of second chances and know that through Him all things are possible.
Matthew 3:16 -”As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him." The spirit is with us all and God graciously granted us specific spiritual gifts that we can use to better His Kingdom. Our organization is focused on finding those gifts and giving those in most need the best chance of succeeding in life personally, professionally and spiritually.
