Brand 316 works directly inside prisons, helping men and women prepare for release through practical training in budgeting, employment preparation, resume development, decision-making, anger management, and other essential life skills.

After release, two of the greatest challenges are finding stable housing and meaningful employment. Many returning citizens spend money on application fees only to discover that a landlord, apartment complex, or employer will not consider someone with their conviction history. Better information can help them avoid unnecessary expenses, find real opportunities, and build a successful future.

We are compiling a community resource list of:

• Second-chance landlords and property managers
• Apartment communities that consider applicants with felony convictions
• Employers willing to hire qualified returning citizens

Please use the form below to share the name and contact information of any landlord, apartment community, property manager, business, or employer that should be considered for this list. You may also provide your own contact information in case we need additional details.

The completed list will be posted on our website by September 1, 2026, in an easy-to-download format so it is accessible to returning citizens, families, reentry organizations, and anyone helping someone prepare for release.

We strongly recommend calling each housing provider or employer before applying and fully disclosing the applicant’s conviction history. Some organizations may accept certain felony convictions but not others. Asking before paying an application fee can prevent unnecessary costs and disappointment.

Policies, ownership, management, and hiring practices can change. Although we work to keep this information accurate and current, inclusion on this list is not a guarantee of housing, employment, or approval. Brand 316 is not affiliated with or compensated by the organizations listed.
